BOOM is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of local students as they pursue higher education by providing two scholarship opportunities – The Black Heritage Council Scholarship and the JW Harris Scholarship.
Black Heritage Council Scholarship

JW Harris Scholarship
The Peace and a Freedom Committee, in partnership with the Black Heritage Council and Michael Zucker, are proud to sponsor the John W. Harris Scholarship.
Each sponsor is proud to give a deserving student the financial assistance needed to honor such a man as Mr. Harris. Scholarships will be presented to African – American students who:
- Is (Are) currently enrolled (full-time) in an accredited college.
- Can be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Expresses a financial need.
Please submit your interest in a one page document and submit to the Peace and Freedom Committee PO Box 995, Marion, OH 43302, or email to the Peace and Freedom.
Be sure to include your name and college.
